I’m sure there are thousands of people out there who are working on amazing projects, and most of the time they may share their ideas and results with a specific forum related to what they are working on.  I still have a forum I use mainly for chemistry, one for electronics, and one for biology.  I basically wandered the internet discussing random things on random websites, and never really found a large community that I had any long term relationship with…that is, until I found DIYbio.

DIYbio is a large google group with many subscribers, and a decent amount of active users.  After some time there, you start to recognize people’s names and it feels more like a small science family with some camaraderie
